Abstract

Employee commitment to an institution is an indicator of the extent to which the organizational climate in an institution is running well. If communication between employees is open, supportive leadership from superiors, and recognition of employee contributions is given properly, this will play a role in fostering employee commitment, especially female employees. Conversely, if the existing organizational climate is not going well, then this will have an influence on the commitment of institutional employees which of course will also affect employee work performance. STDI Imam Syafi'i is a private Islamic religious college with approximately 40 female workers in it, so this study aims to analyze the extent of the relationship between organizational climate and work commitment of female employees at STDI Imam Syafi'i Jember using a quantitative approach. A total of 30 respondents were taken using purposive sampling technique. The instrument used was a questionnaire with a Likert scale. Data were analyzed by simple linear regression using JASP (Jeffreys's Amazing Statistics Program) software to measure the level of satisfaction with the climate, support from superiors, to the welfare of employee salaries. The results showed that organizational climate affects employee commitment with a contribution of 69.9%. These findings are expected to provide new insights for the academic community in improving the quality of the existing organizational climate so that work commitment can be realized in the educational institutions of STDI Imam Syafi'I Jember
