The tradition of reciting asmaul husna is a central tradition in various educational institutions, especially in pesantren. The reason is because asmaul husna has the essence of being a wasilah that allah revealed to all humans in order to get happiness, tranquility and be able to improve the quality of worship of every human being. The purpose of this study is to reveal the meaning and influence of the tradition of reciting asmaul husna preserved by the Ma'rifatussalaam Subang Al-Qur'an Islamic Boarding School. This research uses a type of qualitative research using a sociological approach to cultural anthropology or better known as a living Qur'an study. The results of this study include first, this tradition has been implemented for a long time with the hope of being able to provide calmness and readiness of students in receiving knowledge. Second, this tradition is implemented as part of the pesantren curriculum as a central part of the pesantren. Third, the influence felt by the experiencer of the tradition includes affecting the religiosity of the practitioner, affecting psychology, social, emotional, in academics and increasing devotion to Allah. Fourth, there are several functional meanings, namely the spiritual, socio-cultural and psychological meanings of the tradition.
