Exploring the Concept of Hudud from the Perspective of the Quran

The aim of this research is to determine the conception of the Al-Quran as a source of law which can be described in hudud terminology which is formulated in the form of commands and prohibitions as a reference in implementing Islamic law. The hudud verses in the Al-Quran connote perpetrators of criminal acts including those who commit adultery, Al-qazfu, acts of theft, Al-Hirabah, Al-Bughat, Murtad, and Syaribul Khamr. The implementation of hudud in a country is a characteristic of an Islamic state that wants to provide protection to its citizens. However, not all Muslim-majority countries can implement hudud laws due to human rights factors. The method used in this research is qualitative research by elaborating on the hudud verses in the Al-Quran and then analyzing the object being studied to find the main problem being studied. The research results show that hudud in the Quran is closely related to legal issues.
