Abstract

This research focuses on exploring the Ayat Kursi as a pillar of spiritual protection from the perspective of Tafsir Al-Misbah. The Qur'an, especially the Ayat Kursi in Surah Al-Baqarah verse 255, has a special position as one of the noblest verses that reflects the greatness and oneness of Allah. The research aims to analyze the deep meaning of Ayat Kursi and its relevance in facing spiritual challenges in the modern era. The research method uses a library research approach by reading, examining, and analyzing various related literature, such as the Qur'an, hadith, books of tafsir, as well as the works of scholars and previous research. Researchers identify theories and principles surrounding the Ayat Kursi, then relate them to the spiritual context of contemporary Muslim life. The results show that Ayat Kursi has multidimensional spiritual significance. First, it provides protection from jinn and demons. Second, it is able to provide peace of mind through understanding the attributes of divinity. Third, it serves as a guide to life by instilling the values of tawhid: Uluhiyyah (oneness of Allah), Rububiyyah (power of creation), and Ubudiyyah (obedience of creatures).The study concludes that Ayat Kursi is not just a spiritual recitation, but an important instrument in shaping spiritual balance. By understanding and practicing it, Muslims can improve the quality of faith, gain divine protection, and face the complexities of modern life with deep confidence. The desk research method allows for comprehensive research, resulting in an in-depth understanding of the spiritual significance of Ayat Kursi in the contemporary Islamic context.
