Study of KH Ahmad Dahlan's Thoughts Regarding the Basics of Islamic Education

This paper examines the thought of K.H. Ahmad Dahlan about the basics of Islamic education which includes the thought of Islamic education, the basics of Islamic education and analyzes the thinking of one of the figures who had an influence on Islamic education in Indonesia named K.H. Ahmad Dahlan. His thoughts are widely used as a reference by educators because of his renewal of the basics of Islamic education which is still relevant according to his time. Islamic education that is expected by KH. Ahmad Dahlan is an effort to foster a true Muslim person who is devoted, both as 'abd and khalifah fil al-ardh. To realize this idea, KH. Ahmad Dahlan reformed the curriculum content that combines general science and Islamic religious knowledge. The purpose of Islamic education according to KH. Ahmad Dahlan is to form individuals who understand religious science and general science, as well as having noble morals and broad insight. This research uses qualitative research with the type of Library Research. With documentation data collection techniques, namely extracting heirloom materials that are cohesive with the intended object of discussion. While the data analysis used uses descriptive analysis so as to produce findings that the thought of Islamic education and the basics of Islamic education K.H. Ahmad Dahlan gave birth to intellectual thoughts in modern times as the progress of Islamic education develops.
