Abstract

The electoral legal framework is a very important indicator, the term "election legal framework" refers to all laws and legal documents related to elections. The electoral legal framework must also include effective mechanisms to ensure the implementation of election law and civil rights enforcement. In the context of election management in Indonesia, regulations regarding elections are regulated starting from the constitution. Law number 7 of 2017 has given Bawaslu a clear and firm role and function to enforce election law. Bawaslu exercises two powers, namely the authority to supervise the implementation of elections and enforce election law. These two authorities actually give rise to various problems, such as creating injustice for the parties, prolonging election administration and too many institutions being involved in resolving election legal issues.
