Cultivating Islamic Values through Holistic Education

This study aims to explore effective strategies in instilling Islamic religious values through holistic education in Indonesian schools. This research uses a mixed method with a sequential exploratory design, which combines qualitative methods (participatory observation, in-depth interviews and document study) and quantitative methods (survey with questionnaires). Qualitative and quantitative data were analyzed separately and then integrated to gain a more comprehensive understanding. Holistic education in the context of Islam is a hope to produce a generation that is not only intellectually intelligent, but also has good spiritual and emotional intelligence. The research findings show that the implementation of holistic education in Islamic religious education has a positive impact on the development of students' spiritual, emotional and positive character intelligence. The research also identified key factors such as teacher competence, school management support, availability of resources and parental and community involvement that influence the successful implementation of holistic education. It can be concluded that a holistic approach in Islamic religious education can form a complete and balanced student personality in accordance with the objectives of Islamic education.
