Effectiveness of Implementing the Free Conversation Model on Speaking Skills In Arabic Language Subjects for Class VIII Students of SMPIT Tahfidz Shohibul Qur'an Kampar

Speaking is the second language activity that humans do in language life after listening. Based on the language sounds that they hear, humans learn to pronounce them and are finally able to speak. This research aims to determine the effectiveness of applying the free conversation model in Arabic subjects to the speaking skills of class VIII students at SMPIT Tahfidz Shohibul Qur'an Kampar. By using an interdisciplinary approach that combines theories from the field of education and other fields. This research is quantitative research with an experimental type. The data collection technique in this research uses several tests, such as normality test, homogeneity test, independent sample t test and n gain test. In this research there are 2 variables, namely: Free conversation model as variable (x) and speaking skills as variable (y). From the results of the researchers, it can be seen that there is a difference in the increase in emotional anger between the experimental class which was taught using the free conversation model and the control class which was taught using conversation using text. This is proven by the research results, there is a difference in the experimental class, there is an increase of 20.4 and in the control class 12.3. The difference between the two is 8.1. This means that teaching muhadatsah using free conversation is much better than conversation/muhadatsah using text. Thus, it is recommended that Arabic language teachers do not hesitate to use the free conversation model.
